Entry Fee & Payment
The entry fee for the Housing Design Awards is as shown on the Enter the Awards page. The entry fee includes an online processing fee. You can pay with all major credit/debit cards (Including Switch, Visa, Mastercard).
The payment will be made over a secure server - look for the usual (padlock) icon in your browser.
Your entry will only be accepted if you meet the entry criteria specified for the event. In the event of your entry not being accepted you will be contacted by email and a full refund will be issued.
In accordance with UK law you are entitled to a 7 day cooling-off period, dating from when you receive your acknowledgement of entry fee payment. If you decide to cancel your entry within this period, you must notify us in writing (including email). You will be reimbursed the Awards entry fee.
After this cooling-off period your entry is subject to the standard Awards withdrawal conditions. That is, entries are strictly, firm and binding and fees shall not be refunded for any reason.
Representatives from shortlisted schemes will be invited to the Awards ceremony. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis in relation to the invitation guest list.
Upon event cancellation, no refund of the scheme entry fee will be made as winners will be notified of any Awards made.

All entries to the Housing Design Awards will be collated into an illustrated database of new developments in England, which will become a comprehensive record of what is being built where and by whom in the current period. This unique database is then marketed back to the industry, being sold to developers, consultants, manufacturers and any other interested party. It is also provided FOC to investment managers within the Homes and Communities Agency and local authorities and members of community interest groups will be able to obtain low-cost versions to help with formulation of local development frameworks and neighbourhood plans. Raising income from selling the illustrated database has replaced the central government grant which partly financed the annual awards programme.
Your scheme may be used for publicity purposes (for the Awards themselves) by the Housing Design Awards and associated companies, including the Department for Communities and Local Government. All the imagery contained within the database will be copyrighted to the original owner or creator and no images will be reproduced without recognition of the development team. Additional images of the shortlisted scheme taken by the Housing Design Awards are likely to appear both on the website and may form part of reports/publications on the Awards.
By submitting your scheme as an entry to the Housing Design Awards, you have given permission for its incorporation in the illustrated database and/or to form part of any Housing Design Awards report/publication.
Housing Design Awards may from time to time send updates about the event/services and other relevant Housing Design Awards products and services. By providing your email address you consent to being contacted for direct marketing purposes by Housing Design Awards, you can opt out at anytime by contacting us as detailed below.
